Residential Property Lawyer Location: Buckinghamshire Job Type: Permanent We are seeking a Residential Property Lawyer to join our client's modern and fast-growing law firm. This role involves handling a variety of tasks associated with residential conveyancing and offers a pathway for career development into management roles. Day-to-day of the role: Manage residential conveyancing files from inception to closure, ensuring all client care, compliance, and risk management processes are followed. Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, newbuild purchases, shared ownership purchases, transfers of equity, first registrations, assents, and repayment of Help to Buy loans. Prepare client care paperwork and complete client onboarding. Draft contract packs for sales, handle pre-contract enquiries, and liaise with clients and third parties. Conduct title checks, raise enquiries, and manage searches on purchases. Report to clients on title and search results, mortgage documents, and replies to enquiries. Finalise contracts and associated documents, ensuring they are signed by clients. Liaise with management companies or landlords on pre-exchange and post-completion formalities. Handle exchange of contracts, all post-exchange formalities, completion, and post-completion work including registration. Close files, including reviewing financial ledgers. Report to the Head of Department and meet financial targets. Engage in business development activities to develop your own caseload and increase revenue for the firm. Required Skills & Qualifications: 2-5 years PQE within Residential Conveyancing. Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision or administrative support. IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experienced with case management systems. Client-facing experience, including meeting clients in person.
