You will work closely with the teaching staff to ensure each student is supported in the best possible way. Whether it's one-to-one support or group activities, you will be instrumental in helping students overcome obstacles and flourish academically. Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide individualised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom. Help students with personal care and social skills, promoting independence. Assist in creating lesson plans and adapting materials to suit individual learning needs. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued. Offer emotional and behavioural support to students to help them engage with learning. Monitor and track student progress, feeding back to the teacher regularly on their achievements. Collaborate with other staff to ensure consistency in approaches to SEN. What We Are Looking For: Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an advantage. Strong communication skills with an empathetic and patient approach. A team player who can also work independently to meet the needs of students. Willingness to undergo any necessary training to enhance your skills in SEN education.
