The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic School Sport Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality Physical Education (PE) and School Sport within our educational setting. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Physical Education and a dedication to working with children and young people.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the delivery of PE lessons and school sports activities, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
2. Lead and supervise breakfast, dinner, and after-school clubs related to sports and physical activities.
3. Support the planning and organisation of intra and inter-school competitions, fostering the school's commitment to equality and diversity.
4. Collaborate with teachers to integrate physical activity into classroom learning during non-PE lesson times. Provide additional support in classrooms when there are no PE lessons scheduled, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
Requirements:
1. A keen interest in Physical Education and working with children and young people.
2. Relevant experience or qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field is desirable.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to engage and motivate students in physical activities.
5. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the school schedule.
6. Commitment to promoting equality and diversity within the school community.
