Operational Analyst – Production Planning & Forecasting
Simon Howie Foods is a leading name in the UK meat industry, supplying high-quality products to major supermarkets nationwide. We are looking for a data-driven Operational Analyst to join our team, focusing on production planning and forecasting to ensure efficient operations and supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse weekly sales trends and historical data to create accurate production forecasts for supermarket supply.
* Develop and maintain production planning models to optimise raw material usage, factory output, and stock levels.
* Work closely with manufacturing, logistics, and commercial teams to align production with demand.
* Monitor seasonal trends, promotions, and supply chain fluctuations to prevent shortages or overproduction.
* Provide real-time data insights to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in production planning, forecasting, or supply chain analysis, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, and data visualisation tools.
* Understanding of supermarket supply chains and the ability to adapt forecasts to changing demand patterns.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
* Experience in meat manufacturing or food production is a strong advantage.
