The pharmacy departments across the three sites have been working together under one chief pharmacist for a number of years. During this time we have developed standardised systems and re-designed new and on-going services supporting the wider organisation's clinical configuration changes.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and forward-thinking technician to take on an exciting pharmacy IT role. The job site can be flexible, we are open for you to work from any one of our 3 sites ( Basildon / Southend /Broomfield)

Main duties of the job
You will work as part of a wider Pharmacy IT team supporting and developing pharmacy and Trustwide IT systems. They will be responsible for their own portfolio of MSE pharmacy systems as well as being part of the senior IT team across the MSE. They will also support the clinical pharmacy teams on investigating and tracking medicine saving schemes, as well as producing a variety of reports both internal and external to the organisation.

Electronic prescribing is firmly established on our Southend and Basildon sites and we have been awarded funding to extend the system across our Broomfield sites, bringing significant safety and efficiency improvements for our patients and staff. This is an exciting time to work at our Trust with an extensive digital programme underway that will transform digital systems across our organisation.
Person specification
BTEC or NVQ Level 3 In Pharmaceutical Science
Essential criteria
* Qualified Technician
Evidence of demonstrating leadership in practice
Desirable criteria
* Evidence of demonstrating leadership in practice
Experience
Essential criteria
* Experience using Clinical IT Systems at an advanced level
Desirable criteria
* Experience using Metavision
* Experience using WellSky ePMA
* 2 Years working within the MSE
