A&P Falmouth are looking for a HR & Recruitment Coordinator to join us on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our recruitment, onboarding and HR processes. This is a varied position that would suit someone looking to embark on their career in HR.
Who we are:
A&P Falmouth is one of the largest ship-repair facilities in the UK, providing a complete range of marine repair services thanks to our on-site engineering, electrical, paint, and fabrication workshops.
A centre of excellence for ferries, mobilisation and demobilisation works, jack-ups, pontoons, tankers, and MoD defence vessels, A&P Falmouth is also a busy working port, handling over 100,000 tonnes of product annually.
What you will do:
As a HR & Recruitment Coordinator, you will work across the full employee lifecycle to:
* Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activity including being the first point of contact for candidates
* Draft and post job adverts
* Maintain our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) scheduling interviews
* Make job offers and ensure pre-employment checks are completed
* Administer our DBS and Security Check (SC) clearance processes
* Ensure employee information is correctly recorded within HR systems
* Process sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion and in line with Data Protection Regulations
* Help organise and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and networking events
* Support and assist the HR Manager and HR Advisor with operational admin, reports, and ad-hoc projects
What we are looking for:
* Excellent administrative skills; previous experience in an administrative role would be advantageous
* Knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
* Proactive attitude to problem-solving
