Senior Social Worker AMPH – Richmond and Wandsworth Better Partnership Service
ADULTS EMERGENCY DUTY TEAM
Kingston, Merton, Richmond and Sutton Service
The Adults Emergency Duty Team (AEDT) is looking to recruit a full-time Senior Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional to join the permanent team of 6 (which includes the manager) and the complement of 5 sessional Senior Social Worker/AMHPs.
The team operates across four London Boroughs of Kingston, Merton, Richmond, and Sutton and is hosted by Richmond. AEDT provides an emergency social work service to mental health and adult emergency referrals as well as homelessness services to all adult user groups, including mental health.
AEDT operates after hours on a rota basis and covers from 5 pm to 9 am during the week and 24 hours at the weekend and bank holidays. The full-time AEDT senior social worker will work with four other full-time senior social workers on the rota. The team also has a bank of 5 sessional workers who support the permanent staff. The rota pattern is 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off.
We are looking for experienced AMHPs who have a good understanding of safeguarding adults at risk as well as excellent social work skills. You will need to be confident in managing risk and be able to work independently in an often-pressurised environment.
Team members work from home with access via the web to the Richmond IT system. You will be provided with a computer for use at home. A full driving license and use of a car are also required. The senior social workers are paid at PO4 plus an increment for their AMHP warrant of £3,000 per annum and a 10% out of hours allowance.
