Are you an experienced Technical Manager with a passion for innovation and process improvement?
We are looking for a skilled Technical Manager who can contribute towards our client's cutting-edge projects in the aerospace and manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Product & Process Development:
* Support R&D, automation, and product development with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
* Create specifications for new products, ensuring confidentiality.
* Organise production trials and maintain test results.
* Stay updated on technological changes and customer needs.
* Design and improve processes to meet customer requirements.
Quality Assurance:
* Maintain and develop processes, equipment, and knowledge management databases.
* Implement system and procedural improvements.
* Manage documentation for process control and training.
* Ensure product specification accuracy and confidentiality.
* Lead problem resolution and apply zero-defect tools.
* Develop and communicate quality metrics and KPIs.
* Conduct internal and external quality audits.
Managerial Duties:
* Formulate business strategies and contribute to overall business objectives.
* Stay informed of financial and commercial issues affecting budgets and plans.
* Maintain clear communication on targets, development, and performance.
* Deputise for the Operations Manager when needed.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
* Experience with AS9100 and Nadcap approvals.
* Degree in Engineering, Materials, or Chemistry.
* Quality Improvement qualification/training is desirable.
* Background in aerospace/engineering/manufacturing.
* Team management and supply chain resolution experience.
* Proficient in quality improvement and process optimisation (Lean, Six Sigma).
* Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
* Competent in digital business process tools.
* Excellent communication skills.
