The Customer Sales Advisors report to the Customer Sales Supervisor, who ultimately reports to the Station Management Team. It is important you are able to work well within a team as well as the ability to work independently. About the job As a Customer Sales Advisor you will confidently and impartially sell the full range of tickets and services, including processing high volumes of sales, whilst exceeding our customers' expectations. Your main responsibilities will be: Providing excellent customer service to our travelling passengers Being dedicated to our customer needs Accurately and impartially selling the full range of products and services to our customers in a friendly, professional and efficient manner. Accurately completing all accountancy and other associated documentation. You'll need to be: Able to remain calm under pressure A self starter with a can do attitude Confident when decision making Able to work alone and make decisions independently As a minimum you will need to have: Previous experience of working within a customer facing role The ability to work as part of a team or independently Evidence of numerical ability Attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Previous cash handling experience would be beneficial although not essential. About the location Working at the heart of our Flagship London Station, busy and ever-changing environment. Diverse customer needs and multiple transport options. Working pattern This role involves working night shifts - the shift start is 21.15 and shift finish at is 06.30 hours, including weekends and Bank Holiday working. Additional information Once you submit your application form, you will be invited to complete an online situational judgement test. Applicants are then short listed, and if successfully short listed, you will be invited to attend a competency based interview. The successful candidate will be required to meet the medical standards for the role, including a drugs and alcohol screen. A Basic DBS is also required. Full training will be provided which takes place at our Training Centre in Swindon. Training is Monday to Friday and will last approximately 3 weeks. You will be provided with a travel pass to travel to/from your training.
