Potters Bar Town FC is looking for a dedicated Youth Secretary to support our growing youth setup. This is a voluntary role and a great opportunity to get involved in grassroots football.
Role Overview
The Youth Secretary will be responsible for handling administrative tasks for our youth teams, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with league and FA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Player Registration: Manage youth player registrations, ensuring all details are correctly submitted to the league and FA.
2. Fixture Coordination: Liaise with leagues and team managers to confirm fixtures, kick-off times, and any changes.
3. Matchday Administration: Ensure matchday paperwork is completed and submitted, including team sheets and referee reports.
4. Discipline Management: Track bookings and suspensions, reporting them as required to the league and FA.
5. Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the club, leagues, FA, parents, and coaches.
6. Safeguarding & Compliance: Work with the club’s Welfare Officer to ensure safeguarding policies are upheld and all volunteers have valid DBS checks.
7. Meetings & Reporting: Attend club meetings, provide updates on youth teams, and assist with league meetings where necessary.
Who We’re Looking For
1. Organised and reliable, with good communication skills.
2. Basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, online registration platforms).
3. Passionate about youth football and willing to commit time to support the club.
4. No prior experience required, but an understanding of grassroots football administration is beneficial.
