Reporting directly to the General Manager
Job Responsibilities:
* Primary responsibilities relate to the “Front of the House” duties, including banquet hall customer relations.
* Responsible for direct supervision of all hostess, hosts, wait staff and busers in the performance of their tasks
* Generating weekly staff schedules for all bar staff, wait staff and dishwashing staff
* Monitor all staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage for all areas and ensuring requirements are met in order to properly service customers efficiently and effectively
* Assist with and develop contingencies in the event of any unanticipated staff shortages, including last minute booking staff requirements
* Delivering proper orientation and assisting with the training and retraining of new and existing staff member
* Recommend and assist with any disciplinary actions of wait staff or hosts & hostesses
* Ensure all staff maintain the specified uniform requirements at all functions
* Ensure all staff is wearing proper gear when working according to health and safety requirements
* Provide and assist with Health and Safety training and policy formulation as may be required
* Responsible for the proper dinner settings and related contract specifics and consistent and timely setup for all of the banquet rooms
* Work closely with all host/hostess to confirm dinner times, timely clearing of the courses, together with follow-up with the customer tables after significant courses have been served for all banquets within the facility
* Perform other duties as may be required from time to time as directed by the General Manager
* Experience:
* 2 years of supervising experience
