HowYou Spend Your Eight Hours
* ReconcileFACS balance to the client system
* Ensureproper crediting in FACS for payments posted
* Use websites and other online resources to obtain thestatus of payment or denial from the insurance carrier
* When online resources are not available or do not providethe necessary information call the insurance carrier to inquireabout the status of payment or denial
* Input inFACS the outcome of the status check and decide the next step onthe account based on outlined department and clientspecificprocedures
* Review correspondence note accountsand follow up as needed
* Verify thatcorrespondence is sent to be scanned on the accounts for futurereference
* Tie or untie accounts from the routeto ensure they follow the proper workflow
* Useappropriate work queues and reports to prioritize work efforts asdirected by the Insurance Followup Manager
* Maintain quality customer service
* Develop and maintain professional relationships withinsurance company representatives
* Maintainconfidentiality at all times by adhering to the Health InsurancePortability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
* Support the mission and goals of our clients and thecompany
