Automotive Parts Manager
Purpose:
Manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. Optimizes parts department processes. Attracts, retains, and effectively engages department associates.
Responsibilities:
1. Greet customers and assist them in finding the parts they are looking for, including answering questions, educating on product usage, and providing advice for maintenance and installation.
2. Inventory management and verify that all parts are correctly stocked and displayed for optimal visibility and accessibility.
3. Intervene in situations where a customer is dissatisfied and come up with creative solutions to maintain business when dealing with back orders, damaged parts or stock-outs.
4. Organize merchandise and participate in modifying displays to reflect current inventory, sales, and promotions.
5. Calculate sales totals, considering such factors as discounts, store credit, promotions and flash sales.
6. Label different parts based on their function and price using predetermined methods for organization and documentation.
7. Inspect returned parts to find defects and promptly assist the customer with a replacement part.
8. Participate in accepting shipments of parts, sending orders to customers, and documenting all inventory that enters and exits the facility.
Qualifications:
1. Three to five years of parts management experience.
2. Three to five years customer service experience.
3. High School Diploma or equivalent.
4. Valid driver's license.
