Additionally, we can provide training for individuals interested in obtaining an HGV Class 1 driving licence What you'll do: Inspect, maintain, and repair a variety of HGVs and bulk powder tankers. Ensure vehicles meet all legal and operational standards. Contribute to maintaining our FORS Gold accreditation. Play a vital role in road safety and fleet performance. What we’re looking for: Experience with HGV maintenance and repairs. A commitment to high standards of safety and compliance. Teamwork and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are a team of 8 LGV technicians based at Ketton, responsible for the overall maintenance and roadworthiness of a fleet of LGVs and bulk powder tankers. Our key responsibilities include: Inspection, repair, and maintenance of various makes and types of LGV vehicles and trailers. Upholding safety and performance standards across the fleet. Ensuring all vehicles meet legal and operational requirements. Key Accountability Observing the guidelines as stated in DVSA’s guide to maintaining roadworthiness and testers manuals as well as vehicle manufacturer manuals. Ensuring company vehicles are serviced, maintained and vehicles defects are repaired in a cost effective safe manner. Prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT Work in a safe manner following all Health and Safety regulations Maintaining workshop equipment within his/her capabilities Following all IMS procedures relating to his/her own work activities Liaising with Team Leaders/drivers and other departments as required To work as an integral part of the Workshop Team to ensure that work is carried out as efficiently as possible. Attending vehicles breakdowns and accidents if required. To ensure that all vehicle documentation administration is completed correctly and on time. To attend training courses as and when required. I.e. renewal of licences and updating of knowledge.
