About the role
You will join a project team to assist with implementing the Oracle Fusion ERP system into Next Finance, initially replacing AP, AR and GL.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Ledger Transformation Lead to oversee payroll and tax functions within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the transformation of our general ledger processes, specifically focusing on payroll and tax operations.
This role requires an understanding of payroll and tax finance processes. Ideally, the candidate should have a good understanding of regulations alongside expertise in process improvement and system implementation.
The General Ledger Transformation Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient payroll and tax operations, while also identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation.
You will
* Lead the transformation of general ledger processes related to payroll and tax operations.
* Develop and implement strategies to streamline and automate payroll and tax processes.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll and tax regulations and laws.
* Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to integrate payroll and tax systems and processes.
* Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll and tax data.
* Manage relationships with Head of Tax and our external Accountants.
* Provide programme guidance and support to payroll and tax teams.
About you
* Good understanding of payroll processes and accounting for people costs.
* Experience and strong understanding of Tax, especially VAT alongside regulations and compliance.
* Preferable experience with payroll and tax software systems and tools.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Experience of implementing GL change in areas with a focus on controls and automation.
* Experience with another large ERP system is desirable, preferably Oracle Fusion.
