The role is office based, Monday to Friday in Marylebone. An exciting opportunity has arisen in our London office for a paralegal with excellent people skills to join our dedicated team and contribute to our growth. We are looking for a passionate, proactive, enthusiastic and motivated team player to provide the highest standards of professionalism within a debt management legal role essential. The role has an excellent training program. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work with stakeholders and other advisors to further enhance the companys successful management of the recovery of debt. Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:- 1. Case Management Manage and track cases from initiation to resolution. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, documents, and correspondence. Coordinating status of cases and working closely with the in-house legal team and Directors. 2. Drafting Legal Documents Prepare letters, notices and correspondence. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, writs of execution, and settlement agreements. Assist in drafting court applications such as petitions, demands and enforcement orders. 3. Court Filings and Proceedings File documents with the court and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines. Schedule court dates, hearings and other proceedings. Liaise with court officials, process servers, and other relevant parties. 4. Legal Research and Compliance Conduct legal research related to laws, regulations and case precedents. Ensure compliance 5. Communication Communication with relevant parties regarding case progress, settlement options and strategies. Provide updates on legal actions and timelines. Respond to client queries and offer guidance under the supervision qualified Solicitors and Barristers. 6. Judgement Enforcement Assist in enforcing court judgements. Case management 7. Record Keeping and Reporting Maintain detailed records of all communications Prepare reports and updates with Solicitors and Barristers 8. Litigation Support Provide support in preparing litigation Assisting lawyers in preparing for trials or hearings, including gathering evidence and witness preparation. Key Requirements: Legal background: A law degree (LLB), Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), Legal Practice Course (LPC), paralegal studies or other legal qualification.
