Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: £83 - £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time
Are you passionate about education and dedicated to making a positive impact on young lives? GSL Education are seeking a highly motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional team of Secondary School’s SEN department in York, North Yorkshire starting in September 2024.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant requirements:
* Experience and knowledge of social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
* Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, Diploma or Qualification.
* Have at least 6 months experience in an educational setting which can be referenced.
* Be able to engage with young people and build effective relationships.
* Be confident in managing behaviour within a school setting.
* Be aware of and knowledgeable about different additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, MLD and SEMH.
* Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
* To work with children and young adults on a 1:1 and small group basis to help overcome their barriers to learning.
* To deliver pre-planned lessons to students identified as requiring additional support.
* Supervising students during class activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Assisting in the planning and preparation of teaching materials and resources.
* Collaborating with teachers and parents to provide regular updates on student progress.
