About The Role
The Schools and Colleges Engagement team, based in the Corporate Marketing directorate, are recruiting a Schools and Colleges Engagement Officer (Recruitment) to cover maternity leave on a fixed-term contract. The post holder will help deliver our Student Recruitment strategy to schools in the Essex region.
This role will play a key part in developing strong relationships with students, teachers, advisors, parents and guardians, maintaining our face-to-face engagement initiatives with schools and colleges, and work towards ARU’s strategic aim of sustainable growth in student numbers.
Working as a member of an agile team across the East of England, this role will deliver a range of virtual and face-to-face events and activities for prospective students, teachers, advisors, parents and guardians. Alongside this, the postholder will be collecting, handling and utilising data to show impact and return on investment, tracking against budgets, and building a strong network of colleagues within ARU and external stakeholders for successful delivery of the role.

You'll have a degree, or be part qualified in a relevant professional qualification, or have demonstrable appropriate level of experience and evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role.
Please note, as a Schools and Colleges Team, Student Recruitment and Outreach work closely together, so it is expected that the role will occasionally be involved in outreach activities, such as residential summer schools.
As a team we have a hybrid style of working with officers based at home, and occasional travel to either our Cambridge, Chelmsford, Writtle or Peterborough campuses as required, plus travel to your target schools within the Essex region.
