About the role: Key Responsibilities of the role include- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of different bet types and minimum spend requirements. Ensure the betting area is ready for customers by setting up cash and betting terminals. Handle cash transactions accurately, following proper procedures to ensure all funds balance correctly. Confirm bets with customers before placing them, as they cannot be changed once the race begins. Follow security procedures to safeguard cash at all times. Complete cash reports to reconcile transactions effectively. Verify customer identity to prevent underage gambling, staying vigilant with the Challenge 21 policy and recording checks as per company guidelines. Adhere to Gambling Commission regulations, with a focus on protecting vulnerable individuals and preventing money laundering. Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, attentive, and responsive to customer needs. Work efficiently within race time constraints to maximise betting opportunities. Serve all customers professionally, courteously, and in a timely manner. Strong interpersonal skills - friendly, confident, outgoing. Strong numerical and literacy skill. Excellent verbal communication and customer care skills. What is casual work?
