Then this could be the job for you We are a JAG Accredited Unit and looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible healthcare assistant to join our team working full-time 37.5 hours per week. As a healthcare assistant within our Endoscopy Team you will be responsible for a range of tasks including preparing procedure rooms, setting up equipment before and after endoscopy procedures. You will be learning new skills and you will provide support and assistance to our patients and contribute to the smooth running of the Endoscopy unit. The Endoscopy Unit is open Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 18:00 (including Bank Holidays). Main duties of the job Working as part of our Endoscopy team, you will be working closely with the Registered Nurse providing a caring support service to our patients. This will include assisting the Nurses during endoscopic procedures, ensuring the correct equipment are in place prior to procedure, ordering consumables and ensuring the procedure rooms and equipment are clean post procedure. Maintain stock levels on the unit and escalate any faults and issues. Assist in the movement of patients, equipment and deliveries on the unit. Prepare endoscopes ready for use in the endoscopy procedure rooms and clearing up after lists, putting away endoscopes and equipment at the end of the day. Responsible for the cleanliness and keeping the unit tidy at all times. Assist in looking after patients recovering from endoscopic patients in the recovery area.
