DNA Recruitment Solutions Limited is looking for a Transport Account Manager to join our client's team based in Stockton on Tees. This position is responsible for providing support to customers and managing expectations mainly over the phone. Working Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30 or 09:00 to 17:30. After completion of a successful probation period, there may be an option to work 2 days a week from home.
The role:
Working within a team, you will provide creative transport solutions, always looking for opportunities to upsell and ensure the customer is fully aware of all products/services that our client offers. You will be agile in your approach and able to constantly switch between customer service, managing orders, liaising with operations, discussing developments in sales, and working on improvements.
Essential Functions:
1. Answer incoming calls and emails from customers in a professional manner and build relationships.
2. Manage new and existing customer accounts.
3. Provide information about our client and its products, processing customer orders and ensuring they are entered into the system.
4. Responsible for the order to invoice process of import/export of goods.
5. Resolve customer issues by clarifying information, contacting suppliers, and applying appropriate solutions.
6. Review customer orders to ensure that they are up to date and communicate this to customers.
7. Ensure that all customer correspondence is addressed in a timely manner and that all invoices are sent on time and in full.
8. Achieve and maintain KPIs, suggest and implement improvements.
9. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
10. Additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
1. Experience in Account Management is essential.
2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
3. Customer service experience in an office environment.
4. Experience in logistics/transport.
5. Strong planning, organisational, and admin skills.
6. Familiarity with CRM systems.
7. Ability to work on your feet for most of the day, able to multitask and follow up on issues.
8. Ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult customers.
9. Ability to learn quickly and follow procedures.
10. Must be able to work in a team environment with other departments as well as within the Customer Service department.
