We are looking for an experienced graduate teacher of Design Technology to teach Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, including GCSE. An ability to teach A Level would be desirable, however CPD can be provided for a suitable candidate. The successful candidate will be capable of teaching in a well-equipped workshop.
Design Technology operates within a Technology carousel from Year 3 to Year 8, with Key Stage 2 taught on termly rotations, and Years 7 and 8 receiving lessons for half the academic year. Lessons are 90 minutes in length. Pre-GCSE classes in Year 9 are option choices, leading into GCSE classes in Years 10 and 11. Students are taught for two 90 minute lessons. A Level classes run in the Sixth Form.
Offering a second technology subject would be beneficial and the opportunity to join as Assistant Head of DT could be available for a suitably experienced candidate.
