Reed Secure is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutions for security cleared professionals. We require a Performance and Analysis Officer to cover an existing workload within MOPAC, based in 169 Union St, SE1 0LL (Office visit once a month). This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload. Job Purpose: Conduct and quality assure complex quantitative data analysis (including big data analysis, statistical modelling, thematic analysis etc.) Develop and maintain performance analysis and reporting products (i.e., data dashboards) to enable MOPAC to discharge its statutory duties for public accountability across crime and policing in London. Writing and conducting presentations. Project management and risk assessment. Line management responsibilities (overseeing work and developing staff, performance management). Work closely with colleagues across MOPAC and MPS to monitor performance against commitments in the Police and Crime Plan and highlight key areas for MOPAC action. Through the provision of evidence contribute to national debates on crime and policing performance management and police customer service and contribute to the development of national policy on crime and policing through the provision of evidence. Skills and experience needed to be successful in this role: Power BI Expertise: The candidate must be proficient in designing and building Power BI dashboards, including data cleansing and visualisation. Experience: Candidates should have practical experience with Power BI, not just academic knowledge. Design and Build: Proficiency in designing and building Power BI dashboards from scratch. Data Cleansing: Experience with Power Query for data cleansing and manipulation. Visualisation: Ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards, including charts, maps, and graphs. Hands-On Use: Practical experience using Power BI in a professional setting, not just academic knowledge. Project Work: Experience in leading projects involving data visualisation and dashboard creation. Presentation: Ability to present complex data and insights clearly to stakeholders. Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively with teams and stakeholders. Cleansing data collating data from existing systems and presenting it in a way that can be reviewed and understood by senior leaders and stakeholders and the public. Proven experience working within a large-scale public-sector organisation. Proven experience in data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation tools, using Power BI. Strong understanding of data modelling. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Effective communication skills. Ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards using Power BI templates.
