New - our client is a leading Legal 200 firm with an enviable reputation for their Chambers-rated clinical negligence practice. We are looking for an Associate with experience in clinical negligence to join this expanding department and assist with an active caseload dealing with all stages from inception to conclusion is essential to the role. Experience in handling personal injury claims in addition to clinical negligence is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be expected to have a minimum of 2-4 PQE and be up to date with current case-law and proposed changes in fixed costs/clinical negligence pre-action protocol for cases under £25k. All levels of seniority will be considered based on individual experience. The ideal individual will have excellent qualifications and have formerly worked at a firm known for its high quality clinical negligence work. You must have some specialist training in clinical negligence work and be able to work unsupervised for more straightforward cases and under supervision for more complex matters. Any experience of dealing with cerebral palsy claims will be an advantage but not essential. The team The team are Chambers-rated for excellent client service and outstanding advice on complex and high-value clinical negligence matters. Key experience This opportunity is ideally suited for a lawyer with essential experience in handling a clinical negligence caseload - preferably 2-4 PQE. Experience with personal injury claims is desirable but not essential. This individual will be expected to fee-earn with a target set to their abilities and experience, undertake their own typing and administrative work, be office based in Buckinghamshire working standard hours (9 to 5) but available to work additional hours as the work dictates. The successful candidate will be expected to be competent and confident to work with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the team and be a “team player”.
