We are seeking a highly organised a nd proactive Wills & Probate Secretary join our Private Client team. This role will involve providing essential support to fee earners, assisting with the preparation of legal documents, managing client correspondence, and ensuring the efficient handling of probate applications and estate administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting and amending wills, powers of attorney, and probate documentsAssisting in the preparation of estate administration paperworkLiaising with clients, banks, and other institutions with professionalism and discretionManaging diaries, arranging appointments, and handling incoming queriesCollating and preparing legal bundles and documents for submissionProviding occasional reception cover when requiredRequirements:
* Drafting and amending wills, powers of attorney, and probate documents
* Assisting in the preparation of estate administration paperwork
* Liaising with clients, banks, and other institutions with professionalism and discretion
* Managing diaries, arranging appointments, and handling incoming queries
* Collating and preparing legal bundles and documents for submission
* Providing occasional reception cover when required
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will:
* Have prior experience in a legal secretary or administrative role, ideally within Wills & Probate
* Demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently
* Work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
* Possess excellent communication and IT skills
* Be meticulous with attention to detail and capable of handling confidential information sensitively
* Show a proactive approach with a willingness to assist with various tasks, including occasional work outside core hours if required
