Description
This starting salary for this role is £35,730 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.
We have Programme Support Officer roles available which are offered as 12 month fixed term contracts to support our Childrens, Families and Lifelong Learning Directorate with focused programmes of work.
This role offers hybrid working with an expectation that at least two days per week will be spent in locations across Surrey. This includes one day a week with the team in who are based in our Woking office, with another spent in Surrey dependent on business requirements.

About Us

The Children, Families and Lifelong Learning (CFLL) Directorate is committed to investing in internal transformation teams. The CFLL Directorate efficiencies programme comprises of a range of projects across teams and services that will realise savings to ensure that the Directorate delivers a balanced budget. These projects range from implementing new technologies to reviewing and improving cross division processes.
About the Role
As a Programme Support Officer you will support the priority programmes within the CFLL transformation team. For Children's Social Care transformation, our priority is ensuring that we are working with our partners to intervene at the earliest opportunity to prevent escalation of need and where it is appropriate for a child to come into our care, that we have suitable residential and fostering placements within Surrey. For the AND team, this will involve working with stakeholders and partners to deliver against the actions identified in our Local Area SEND Partnership Improvement Plan. The purpose of the CFLL efficiencies programme is to ensure that we are working efficiently and effectively within our financial budget.
You will provide programme support such as tracking and chasing actions, meeting coordination, maintaining data and ensuring logs are kept up to date. Using the information, you are responsible for, you will develop relationships with various stakeholders to create clear and meaningful communication that can be acted on.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills to step up and gain exposure to an exciting transformation project. Shortlisting Criteria
* Educated to A level standard or professional business qualification to NVQ level 4.
* Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively enough to influence others.
* Strong administration/ organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple deadlines and ensure best practice is adhered to.
* Understanding of the responsibilities and related tasks throughout the lifecycle of a project.
* Attention to detail when it comes to data entry with an ability to analyse data.

There will be a numeracy and scenario assessment as part of the interview. It is anticipated that the assessment and interview process will take approximately an hour and thirty minutes.
An enhanced DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children's and Adults' Barred List checks will be required for this role.
Surrey has both urban and rural areas. You will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area to attend stakeholder meetings as required.
