About the Role and our Ideal Candidate
The Royal Borough of Kingston has laid a strong foundation through strategic decisions and commitments, and we are now seeking an Assistant Director of Property and Projects to help bring these plans to life. From delivering a new Leisure Centre and HQ to driving forward a Borough-wide District Heat Network and reshaping our £1bn asset base, your commercial expertise will be key in realising these ambitious projects.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Place, you will oversee a substantial property portfolio worth nearly £1 billion and deliver high-impact projects, such as the development of our new headquarters and a flagship leisure centre. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our buildings are fit for purpose, compliant, and aligned with our ambitious climate goals, aiming for carbon neutrality by 2030.
Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will leverage our assets to support community needs, drive economic growth, and foster local engagement.
Having a strong background in strategic property management and project delivery, alongside a commitment to promoting collaboration and inclusivity, will be the foundation of success in this role. Your leadership will be vital in creating a high-performance culture that delivers exceptional outcomes for our residents.
If you are committed to creating a lasting impact through strategic property projects and nurturing strong community ties, then we would love to hear from you.
Please note that the recently agreed pay award will apply to this role and the salary range is therefore: £118,566 - £128,606 per annum
