This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students and staff at Lifeworks Charity. What you’ll do: - You’ll follow a weekly cleaning schedule, which will involve tasks such as washing, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying and cleaning bins, refilling/replacing washroom supplies and consumables, and dusting. You’ll also respond to unexpected cleaning requirements (such as spillages) as necessary. - Complete arranged deep-cleans and special tasks during college closures, to ensure our students and staff are returning to a clean environment. - Identify and report any issues or potential health and safety concerns, as well as monitor cleaning supply levels, notifying the appropriate person without delay. Working hours: As a Cleaner, you will work 10 hours per week (over 52 weeks of the year), Monday-Friday for 2 hours per day. We are flexible as to when you can complete your hours; you can choose to do them as 06.30-08.30 or as 16.30-18.30. What we're looking for: - Ideally, you will have experience of cleaning professionally. - You’ll have strong attention to detail and organisation skills. - You’ll be able to follow instructions, managing your own workload and prioritising tasks to ensure all cleaning is completed. - A basic understanding of Health and Safety practices.
