Job Description:
A little about PTSG: PTSG is one of Europe’s leading providers of specialist services to the construction and FM sectors. It was formed in 2007 with a handful of people and a vision to deliver the full range of specialist building services from ‘under one roof’. After almost 17 years of successive growth, that vision has been achieved.
The Group’s five business divisions operate independently or combine to deliver a complete solution including: façade access and fall arrest equipment, lightning protection and electrical compliance, high-level services, fire solutions and water treatment.
PTSG are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Reporting and Insights Manager to join the business in managing and analysing the company's data to provide distinctive insights across the business.
PTSG has strong ambitions to be a data led business, but this behaviour is not widespread through the organisation and therefore the key differentiator we are looking for is someone who can build strong business relationships and help support the business through a data maturity roadmap to support strategic growth.
We want to develop a partnering approach where we coach and support analysts in the business to better develop and use the data platform to add value to their business.
Key Accountabilities:
* Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from various sources.
* Work closely with data engineers to support the development of data domains and models in the data warehouse.
* Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear and actionable insights.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver relevant insights.
* Support and coach members of the wider business to develop their own capability.
* Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business decisions.
* Present findings to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing robust data management practices.
* Continuously evaluate and improve reporting processes and tools.
Role Dimensions:
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team depending on need.
* Responsible for own workload, however this role will work closely with the Head of Data and Analytics and fellow members of the IT Leadership Team to ensure the smooth running of the department within the company.
* The role holder must be prepared to own delivery of complex problems as well as keep numerous smaller items progressing.
* The role holder will need to bring stakeholders and the IT team “on the journey” but with a clear focus on results and outcomes.
* The role is hybrid so much of the work can be performed remotely with expectation of occasional visits to UK sites but essentially the role will be measured on delivery rather than office presence.
Person Profile:
* Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and insights generation.
* Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
* Experience in the specific industry of the FM sector an advantage.
* Knowledge of SQL and other data manipulation languages.
* Experience and/or proven understanding of predictive analytics and machine learning.
If you feel this role is for you, please apply and one of our team will be in touch.
