Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Education Support Assistants. We are looking for people based in St. Austell who have experience working with children, or as Support Workers, Care Workers, or Youth Work. This is a full-time position, so applicants should ensure they are available Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm, during term time.
The responsibilities of the role include, working 1:1 with a child both inside and outside of the classroom, partaking in activities, as well as encouraging the student's academic performance. A full, clean driving licence is compulsory in this role, as you may go off school site with the child.
We are looking for candidates who have a Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant area, including Childcare, Health and Social Care, or Sports Coaching. Other qualifications will also be considered for individuals with a positive attitude and enthusiasm towards the role. The most important attributes to this role, are self-motivation, and a passion for the education sector.
Individuals will need to have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service prior to being placed in a school, however, assistance can be provided with this during the registration process. Knowledge of policies including Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Equal Opportunities, and Teaching and Learning is crucial to the role, therefore, candidates will be offered a two-week fully paid induction, where all training for the role will be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
