Job title: Senior Library Supervisor Outreach (post)
Working Pattern: 1 Full-time, permanent post 36 hours per week
Core library hours are currently 10-6 Monday to Friday and 9-5 Saturday.
Location: The role will require staff to travel to any Croydon Libraries and community outreach locations such as schools and community centres.
About the Role: From April 2025, Croydon Libraries will be operating a new service model. To deliver this, we are looking for people who have a passion for customer service and for working as part of a team delivering Croydon’s library services directly to our customers and through outreach into communities.
The postholder will be responsible for developing and promoting the library service to the community by maximising accessibility to the services, stock, and resources available in libraries. You will lead the Outreach Team to deliver the Outreach Service to engage with communities and to promote library activities and services across the borough.
You will need to be:
1. Customer focused with excellent communication skills
2. Experienced in managing a team
3. Interested in libraries and serving Croydon’s diverse communities
4. A good team worker across all 9 of Croydon’s libraries and outreach locations
5. Good experience with partnership working
6. Enthusiastic in your approach to engagement with customers of all ages
