Our Team
Working in Cyber Security is a big deal as we continue to play a key role in keeping Virgin Money safe. You'll play an important role in helping us understand the threat landscape so we can protect ourselves from risk.
What you'll be doing
* Innovate and Improve: Drive the maintenance and continuous enhancement of our monitoring systems.
* Leverage Your Expertise: Utilise your deep knowledge of monitoring tools and best practices.
* Solve Problems: Lead the diagnosis and resolution of incidents, finding creative solutions or escalating when needed.
* Collaborate with Leaders: Work closely with senior stakeholders to manage risks and influence key decisions.
* Make Decisions: Take charge of technical decision-making and develop our teams capabilities.
* Turn Strategy into Action: Translate strategy into actionable plans and communicate effectively with your team.
* Lead and Mentor: Provide guidance and mentorship, ensuring a unified approach to cybersecurity.
* Engage Stakeholders: Keep senior management informed on cybersecurity issues and strategies.
* Step Up When Needed: Deputize for other leaders in the Cyber Detect and Respond team when required.
We need you to have
* Proven Leadership: A successful track record in technical leadership roles.
* Infrastructure Expertise: Deep knowledge of infrastructure platforms, with a focus on Availability and Observability best practices.
* Initiative: Ability to tackle large-scale technical challenges independently.
* Transformational Leadership: Experience guiding teams through transformational change.
* Architectural Skills: Proficiency in platform architecture and design.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong leadership skills and experience influencing senior stakeholders.
* Monitoring Mastery: Expertise in Dynatrace and cybersecurity monitoring tools, frameworks, and processes.
* Risk Management: Strong analytical skills and experience with cybersecurity metrics and risk management.
* Problem-Solving Prowess: Outstanding problem-solving abilities.
* Multitasking Ability: Skill in managing multiple tasks and engaging with stakeholders across a complex organization.
* Best Practices Knowledge: Familiarity with Incident Management, ITIL, and SRE best practices.
* Experience: At least 3 years in Technology Operations, SRE, or Observability practices.
* Prioritization Skills: Expertise in prioritizing activities in a rapidly changing environment.
It's a bonus if you have but not essential
* ITIL Service Management process awareness (Change, Incident & Problem Management processes).
* Experience of operational security controls and product stack.
* Experience in working in an Agile environment.
