Complex Care Support Worker required for 36 hours a week ideally experienced in brain injury for a gentleman in Halesworth who was involved in a road traffic collision sustaining a number of complex injuries.
About our client:
“My son loved the outside and the countryside before sadly he had a car accident, and I want people around him that do not mind getting dirty, wearing wellies and want to be part of this exciting next chapter in my son’s recovery.
If you think you are this person and happy to work as part of a team and with his family, which includes my gorgeous grandson who wants to be included in his dad’s recovery, then we would love to hear from you.”
If you are creative, an animal lover and love the outdoors, you would be an ideal fit to assist our client in accessing the community, supporting him with fun activities which will stimulate him and support his rehabilitation.
Although prior experience in care would be beneficial, if you can demonstrate a genuine caring profile and are interested in a career in care and rehabilitation, we provide full training, and a welcoming support team is already in place. You will be working in the family home, closely with the client’s parents, support team and specialist therapists.
Our client is classified to be in a low awareness state. He is physically, functionally, and cognitively dependent on others to meet his needs. He engages well with his family and care team. Exciting opportunity to join us as he recently moved into a new home with lots of nature and animals.
As well as care and support, you will be trained by the therapists to be able to carry out a rehabilitation programme. The therapy team includes an Occupational Therapist (OT), Neuro Physiotherapist and a Music Therapist.
Working hours: Shifts are days and nights working to a rota.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised, enthusiastic and flexible.
Rates of pay: Monday to Sunday £16.00 per hour
Bank holidays £32.00 per hour.
An NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full clean driving licence is essential.
Bank support workers are also required.
