You possess a good understanding of local authority operations, ideally with knowledge of the service area and relevant financial policies. You hold a good standard of education to the GCSE level or equivalent, and possibly have further qualifications like an NVQ in Administration/Finance or an IT qualification. You are committed to professional development, willing to undertake relevant training, and excellent in customer service. You demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work well with colleagues, Councillors, and the public. You are capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and effectively handling difficult situations with strong communication skills. You are flexible, able to work as part of a team, and willing to occasionally work outside normal hours if required. What the Job Involves Providing support to operational and support teams through efficient and effective administrative services. Maintaining and updating electronic and manual information systems, assisting with statistical returns, and processing mail. Performing a full range of clerical duties, such as word processing, and coordinating and taking minutes of meetings. Creating, maintaining, and archiving files, and liaising with other organizations, including statutory, independent, and voluntary agencies. Ordering stationery and equipment, processing forms, and administering financial management systems. Managing customer communications, including recording complaints and service requests, and validating customer documentation. Complying with Welsh language requirements and ensuring health and safety and equal opportunity principles are followed. Flexibility to perform additional tasks as determined by the Manager, contributing to the overall objectives of the Waste & Recycling division.
