Empty Property Officer needed to assess the level and reasons why there are long term empty residential and commercial properties in the Borough and to act to bring them back into use where appropriate. Key requirements To develop and implement a policy in relation to empty properties To engage with and motivate owners to bring empty properties back into use To use legislation available to bring empty properties back into use To provide information, advice and support to owners of empty properties To work with other teams across the Council by targeting empty properties that have become the focus of anti-social behaviour, crime, fly-tipping or attracting vermin Experience of conducting housing surveys/inspections in a professional capacity Excellent written, verbal communication and numerical skills.
