Job Title: Production Manager Excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager from a manufacturing / engineering environment. Production Manager Main Duties: Managing all aspects of the Production Department, including: Production Team (inc holidays, overtime, performance reviews, accident recording etc.) Stock Control (inc actioning and authorising Purchase Orders from Sage 200, plus stock take) Production documentation / work instructions / test reports Recording and reporting of KPIs Maintaining tooling & test equipment Ensuring all products are manufactured in a safe environment, to the agreed schedule and to the specified standards Development of Production staff, ensuring all are appropriately trained to work safely and effectively in their selected areas / activities Working with third party H&S advisors to manage site Health & Safety, including Production Department and other general areas. This includes: Creating and maintaining Risk and CoSHH assessments Ensuring site safety and safety checks (fire alarms tests etc) are planned, carried out and recorded Liaising with sub-contractors regarding site inspections and maintenance Handling aspects of company induction for new employees Carrying out internal ISO audits (as part of the team of internal auditors (training provided) Ongoing building management reacting to issues, repairs and other unexpected occurrences Factory keyholder and joint named responder in event of intruder alarm activation They require a Production Manager with a minimum 5 years experience. Qualifications / Skills/ Experience: Managing a Production Department within an SME Experience working in an electro-mechanical / intricate assembly environment Supplier management, with experienceof handling supplier performanceissues Knowledge of working with an MRP system (preferably Sage 200) Good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace- Ideally IOSH or NEBOSH qualified First Aid / Fire Marshall trained Electrical qualifications would be preferred Working with ISO 9001 & 14001 Standards Have full UK Driving Licence (any points must be advised on application) Pay Rate/Hours Salary is up to 43k Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and 4.30pm on a Friday.
