CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor.
As a CBRE Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee a multiskilled team and vendors responsible for inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, wiring, adjusting, and maintaining all equipment for an assigned location.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Job Responsibilities
1. Create work schedules for the maintenance team and subcontractors.
2. Inspect and assess the work done by the maintenance team and subcontractors. Ensure work is completed on schedule and to code.
3. Read and interpret design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
4. Troubleshoot major complex system failures and equipment malfunctions.
5. Assist the team with repairing and maintaining electrical equipment.
6. Oversee the purchasing and maintenance of all M&E services.
7. Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
8. Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
9. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
10. Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.
11. Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.
Skills Required
1. Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
2. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
3. The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
4. Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
5. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
6. Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
