Mane are looking for Electrical Engineers to design and develop power generation facilities, including energy storage, hydrogen, solar, wind, microgrids, gas-powered generation, and CHP plants, from concept to installation.
Your job will be to produce electrical design, engineer and develop power generating facilities including energy storage, hydrogen, solar, wind, microgrids, gas-powered generation (Advanced Gas, Biogas, Natural Gas), and CHP plants. Providing input and support at all stages of a project from sales through to installation.
Responsibilities:
1. Convert concepts into functional designs, including specifications, calculations, and component selection.
2. Carry out power system studies including Load Flows, Fault Analysis, Protection Studies, P28 Voltage Flicker, G5/5 Harmonic Assessments, G99 Reactive Power and Frequency Response Simulations.
3. Support sales with design and tender documentation.
4. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and CAD teams for project development.
5. Assist project managers during installation and testing phases.
6. Lead or participate in HAZOP and risk assessments.
7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Skills & Knowledge:
1. Proficient in IT (MS Office, AutoCAD).
2. Strong in power system analysis tools and project management.
3. Analytical, detail-oriented, and effective under pressure.
4. Excellent team player and communicator.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND acceptable with relevant experience).
2. 2+ years in power generation (1-25MW).
3. Knowledge of low and medium voltage power trains.
4. UK/EU driving license.
Bonus:
1. Experience in CHP/power generation.
2. Familiarity with ETAP, HV substation design, and NERS.
