Overview
Our client is looking to strengthen their existing shift maintenance crew with multiple front and back end mechanical maintenance engineers and a production engineer, based on a continental shift pattern (4 on, 4 off, 12-hour days and nights)...and 14 days off every 5th week!!
The successful candidates will be working on vertical and horizontal can-making power press equipment [cupping presses & bodymakers]. Therefore, experience working in an FMCG environment is critical.
You will be required to deliver planned preventive maintenances, machine overhaul and recovery support, and complete regulatory compliance checks across all can making power press equipment.
The candidate
* You will ideally have completed a Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering apprenticeship or have achieved an Engineering ONC/HNC level qualification or equivalent.
* You will have proven and demonstrable experience in a relevant mechanical engineering role. Prior experience of working with power presses will be advantageous, along with experience in machining using a lathe, milling machine and surface grinder; welding experience (Tig/Mig); fitting skills including scraping; knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, and an ability to read schematic drawings.
* You must have the ability to work well in a team but also be able to manage your own workload ensuring tasks are completed within the specified timescales.
Remuneration & Benefits
* Salary: £44,000 - £53,800 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications, skills-matrix based, PLEASE NOTE this means you will not automatically achieve the maximum remuneration, this can be discussed upon application).
