This vital role focuses on building strong, trusting relationships with students to promote their learning, emotional development, and confidence. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in educational settings or residential childcare who are committed to helping children overcome barriers and achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 support to children with SEN/SEMH needs, fostering positive relationships. Assisting in the implementation of personalized learning and behavioural strategies. Helping students to engage in classroom activities and develop key skills. Monitoring and reporting on student progress to teachers, parents, and professionals. Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding by adhering to school and agency policies to ensure the safety and welfare of children. Requirements: Proven experience working in a 1:1 capacity with children, preferably in SEN/SEMH support or residential childcare. A valid Enhanced DBS for the Child Workforce on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Eligibility to work in the UK or the ability to apply for a relevant work visa.
