The Opportunity Step into a leadership role as an Assistant Quarry Manager at Aggregate Industries sand and gravel quarry in Kempsford.
Supporting the Quarry Manager, this role is your chance to drive operations, promote safety, and optimise production in a high-performing team.

Act as 8.1d when the Quarry Manager is present and assume 8.1c responsibilities in their absence.
Maintain financial performance, ensuring the site meets budget requirements and reporting all necessary data.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with Quarries Regulations 1999 and other industry legislation.
Oversee quarry operations in alignment with planning permissions, environmental permits, and geotechnical assessments.
Optimise production targets and maintain high standards for material quality and site maintenance.
Lead incident investigations, ensuring detailed reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Manage workforce utilisation, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
Coordinate with commercial and distribution teams to ensure uninterrupted customer support and material supply.
Who You Are Youre a highly organised and results-driven Assistant Quarry Manager with experience in quarry operations, production management, and health & safety compliance.
Your ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive continuous improvement makes you an essential part of the site leadership team.
Demonstrable experience in quarry management or a supervisory production role.
Strong understanding of Quarry Regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental compliance.
Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to coach and motivate teams.
Analytical mindset with well-developed fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to manage budgets, cost controls, and performance targets effectively.
