We are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Assistant to join our team in Tyne and Wear on a full-time, temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with mental health needs, helping them navigate challenges and thrive in a supportive environment.
In this role, you will provide direct support to students facing emotional and mental health challenges, helping them to manage their feelings and develop coping strategies. You will work alongside the support team to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere, ensuring that students feel supported, respected, and motivated to reach their full potential.
Previous experience is not required, as long as you are dedicated and open minded we would love to hear from you. We are seeking individuals who are calm, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives. Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping young people are key attributes we value.
