Job Description
The Learning Support Assistant will work within an educational setting to provide support to students with additional learning needs. The role involves assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Job Duties:
* Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities
* Provide one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs
* Help create and maintain inclusive learning environments
* Support students with personal care and mobility needs
* Monitor student progress and report back to the teaching staff
Required Qualifications:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Previous experience working with children or young people
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
* Experience in a similar role within an educational setting
* Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students
Preferred Qualifications:
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Additional training in supporting students with specific learning difficulties
Working Conditions:
* Contract position with Full-Time hours
