Our client is currently recruiting for a head of mechanical safety based in their head office in Risely. They're specialists in fire and security and all fire life and safety and operate across the UK and Ireland.
Responsibility for the management and development of the Mechanical Fire Safety Department across the UK, ensuring that all installations and planned servicing is delivered within budget on time and in line with customer & quality expectations. To continuously improve delivery of Mechanical Services and adopt best practice models. To enhance the profitability of the Mechanical Department by effective management and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Experience in a similar management role leading a team of Mechanical Engineers.
2. Deep understanding of mechanical systems, with extensive experience in managing installations and maintenance.
3. Contract review of all mechanical project files for technical and contractual elements.
4. Responsibility for projects to be delivered technically compliant and on budget and on time.
5. Provide monthly Service and work bank forecast working to achieve monthly budget.
6. Selection and monitoring of sub-contract labour, direct resource and suppliers.
7. Liaising with client and engineers and sub-contractors for planning in work.
8. Attend site meetings and regional offices when required.
9. Additional management duties commensurate with your skills and experience.
10. Ensure Health and Safety Compliance – completing toolbox talks, health and safety audits (PPE, ladder, vehicle etc.), reporting accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences.
11. Ensure Environmental Compliance.
12. Ensure regular compliance to 3rd Party BS/EN Audits in line with company procedures.
13. Develop and maintain the mechanical department folders.
Package:
1. Basic Salary – £50-60,000 per annum.
2. Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance – subject to candidate preference. Circa £575 per month.
