The Role
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System for Croydon, off-site personnel and field service.
Maintain our compliance to ISO 9001, RISQS and RISAS.
Receive and co-ordinate customer and third party auditors and ensure continued approvals for the Company.
Supervise the Quality Team and maintain a robust inspection process for both incoming and outgoing goods.
Perform supplier assessments and audits to develop the supply chain. Establish supplier rating system.
Create and manage the internal audit plan.
Review and approve customer and supplier requirements, specifications, commercial and technical documents from a quality perspective.
Management of the NCR system for both internal and external NCRs.
Establish the ethic of right first time to reduce the cost of non-quality and improve OPEX.
Ensure there are adequate numbers of internal auditors to achieve the plan.
Identify and provide appropriate Quality System Awareness training, and further develop the Quality ethic within the company at all levels.
Stay abreast of all the latest industry / quality regulations and standards.
Quality at Plant point of contact for all enquiries and reportable KPIs.
Authorisation to stop the process or product or service provision if quality or safety requirements are not met.
The Candidate
Experience or exposure to the rail sector is preferred
It is highly beneficially if candidates have experience working to RISQS or RISAS
Experience in Quality Management within an engineering environment.
Chartered Quality professional status preferred.
Lead auditor qualified and experienced in planning and scheduling internal audits.
A good technical background including knowledge of engineering standards.
Possess good all round IT skills including knowledge of ERP systems.
Analytical ability (costing, finance, and performance KPIs).
Understanding of OPEX.
