Job Description:
Job Duties:
1. Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.
2. Assist classroom teachers in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN.
3. Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
4. Support students with personal care and mobility needs, as required.
5. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible support for students with SEN.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with children or individuals with SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of SEN practises and strategies.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
- Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- First Aid certification.
Working Conditions:
- The role involves working within a school setting.
- May require some flexibility in working hours to accommodate student needs.
- Will involve regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
