The role
As a Fire Alarm Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all fire alarm systems on board our Royal Navy warship vessels are compliant and meet standards.
Day to day, you’ll manage a small Fire Alarm Team, making decisions on a variety of coordination activities to ensure a reduction of time/cost implications on the project.
You will:
* Coordinate scheduling audits, installations, and removal and manage servicing and auditing records for all systems fitted to warships projects.
* Be the Technical Lead for the temporary fire alarm systems fitted to the warships projects.
* Carry out the Fire Alarm System Lead role acting as the focal point and POC for all technical queries, whilst ensuring compliance.
* Manage all aspects of programme requirements to support all the projects that require fire alarm support with planning and delivery.
* Act as a focal point for all issues raised for fire alarms.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based onsite at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Fire Alarm Manager
* Demonstrable experience in an Engineering or Technical Environment.
* Competent in verbal and written communications.
* The ability to interface with managers and customers.
* Computer literate and experienced in operating company software.
Qualifications for the Fire Alarm Manager:
* An Engineering / Technical Subject or previous relevant experience.
