It is a hybrid working role where you should be able to commute to the offices in Windermere, therefore we are looking for applications from candidates within a 90 min drive. What will you be doing? You will be providing in-house project management expertise for technical IT projects as defined by a project roadmap. Reporting to the IT Development Manager this role will be critical in defining, designing, managing, and implementing system changes to maximise the operational effectiveness of the business. You will have a natural focus on the following areas. Planning projects so that progress can be monitored, and the correct decisions made. Taking ownership of assigned projects through the development lifecycle, adhering to agreed quality gates and controls, whilst ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget. Ensuing that IT changes do not compromise data integrity, data security or system security, or impact adversely upon our customers, and are compliant with all applicable UK regulations and general IT best practice. Ensuring that sufficient functional and integration test coverage is in place for all changes, to ensure the delivery of high-quality system changes. Ensuring that all projects have all associated documentation as required by change control procedures. Managing a team of system integration testers providing leadership, support, as well as being responsible for effective matrix management of project resources. Being an ambassador for the company by building effective working relationships cross-functionally and with 3rd parties ensuring that IT change has a positive effect on customer relations, business operations and commercial success. What experience do you need to be successful? This is a role for someone who has delivered technology projects in a structured environment. You should be able to converse freely about your experience, be that with project methodologies, issue resolution, risk management, stakeholder management, budget controls or how you get things done. Proven experience in IT project management and fundamental understanding of software development lifecycle and IT testing methodologies Exposure to system architecture and design, able to understand the relationships and integration between existing systems. Experience of building relationships at all levels including experience of managing 3rd party relationships Proven experience breaking down complex issues into viable solutions. You should hold Agile or Project Management qualifications. Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and recommendations for functional, non-functional, and technical change. A natural understanding of the need for high level of accuracy, attention to detail and conscientiousness. You will be mature in presenting problems and solutions clearly and logically whilst inspiring confidence and trust from others. Positive stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage and deal with competing priorities. Ability to be 'Hands on' where required. Whilst your planning and management experience is foremost, if you have the following experience, it would be helpful but not essential. Experience using JIRA for work management and Confluence for collaboration. Experience of working in the retail industry Experience of working with technologies that underpin an Omni-channel retailer. Whats in it for you?
