Working Part time : 30 hours per week
To play an active role in implementing the Trust’s Clinical Audit Plan throughout the Trust.
To advise and assist clinicians and other Health Care Professionals with collating, analysing, preparing and presenting data from a variety of hospital information sources for Clinical Audit. To generally contribute to the promotion of Clinical Audit within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
To assist with the implementation of the Trust’s Clinical Audit Plan throughout the Trust.
To support and facilitate and formally present audit outcomes at multi-disciplinary Clinical Audit Management groups in nominated Directorates.
To advise, co-ordinate and implement Divisional Clinical Audit Programmes.
To develop strategies and action plans for audit activity and ensure completion of planning and reporting requirements within the specified timetable.
To advise Clinicians on the feasibility of proposed Audits
To retrieve and summarise relevant information for Clinical Audit from the appropriate source(s) eg Networking with other Departments/Trusts, Intranet, Internet, Hospital Information Systems, Datix system, etc.
In collaboration with Trust staff initiate, design, plan, develop, format and implement audits and maintain information systems to record data for audit purposes.
To analyse and present data from completed clinical audit projects making practical recommendations and providing advice for changes in practice to improve patient care as appropriate meeting deadlines.
