You will be based in one of our rapidly growing offices whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. These include public sector clients (UK and overseas), water utility companies, developers, oil, gas and energy companies. In this role, you will scope, develop and use numerical models of coastal processes for a range of project applications. This can include models of waves and water levels, sediment transport, or water quality to support new and existing infrastructure. Here’s what you’ll do: Undertake modelling studies for a range of projects supporting feasibility/option appraisal to detailed design. Work closely with other disciplines in the delivery of modelling studies. Manage parts of a project and ensure delivery of tasks to agreed budget, programme and quality. Manage financial aspect of assigned project tasks. Support the preparation of project budget & programme. Appropriately liaise with clients, government authorities, contractors and suppliers. Depending on your level of experience you will either (1) have the opportunity to grow through guidance from experienced numerical modellers in the Coastal team or (2) have line-manager responsibilities and mentor junior modelling staff providing clear and consistent guidance for work carried out by junior modellers.
